I wanted to ask Kel and mathematics. Was that a deliberate stab for feminism, or were you just trying to make her opposite of Alanna?
Tammy: I wanted to give her something of her own. I knew Kel had to be very different than Alanna, and…I wanted to her to be happier at something that I was miserable at. And I thought it would be cool if she was really good at it. […] Having Kel like it gave me permission to part with something I like, even if I’m really, really, really, really bad at the rest of it. And actually, one of the things she likes about working in New Haven is that she gets to do engineering jobs. She’s really enjoying that.
